MAGNET POGO CONTACT
A recent trend in the connection systems is to use a magnet to attach the receptacle and the plug in pogo connectors.
The possibility of choosing appropriate magnet force gives you flexibility in the connector design. You “control” your locking system mechanism. The magnet force have to be calculated together with the pogo actuating force and the requested disconnect force.
Magnet shape can be varied, depend on the space given in the application.
Attention have to be taken to the magnet height distance, related to the pogo contacts height.
When locking solution by magnet can not be placed, a simple Snap-In into pcb holes can be also a locking solution.
